The Brain Cognition and Language Learning Laboratory investigates the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying second language learning and bilingual language processing. The laboratory’s research focuses on three main areas: 1) Cognitive and neural mechanisms of language learning; 2) The influence of language on social cognition, including thinking and decision-making; and 3) Cognitive and neural mechanisms of bilingual language processing. Our work relies on behavioral paradigms and methods from cognitive neuroscience (including EEG, fNIRS, and fMRI).
